Diatomaceous earth bath mat

You step out of the shower and the floor is already dry

Diatomaceous earth absorbs water as soon as you step on it and dries itself, without the damp smell that fabric bath mats eventually acquire. It doesn't go in the washing machine: it's left to dry, and when it loses absorbency, it can be restored by sanding it with fine sandpaper.
